10Finally, be strong in the Lord
and in his mighty power. 11Put on the full armor of God so that you
can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12For our struggle
is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the
authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual
forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13Therefore put on the full
armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your
ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14Stand firm
then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of
righteousness in place, 15and with your feet fitted with the
readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16In addition to all
this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the
flaming arrows of the evil one. 17Take the helmet of salvation and
the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18And pray in the
Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in
mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
Who We Are
Crusaders Mission
Statement: The Crusaders is a Christian organization that has been
established to serve our members through fellowship, educational opportunities,
and activities. Our desire is to be
committed and dedicated to the well being of our families through Christian
example, encouragement, and support; all for the Christ’s glory. We are an extension of each family’s
individual school. Participation
involves reinforcing family values and Christian principles through conduct.
Philosophy:
We believe that God gives parents the primary right and responsibility to
educate their own children.
We believe that home educators provide a high quality education for their
children.
We believe that parental love and understanding,
patience to teach until the child learns, and parental recognition of the needs
of the whole child is more important than teacher-education requirements.
We believe responsibilities should be shared
among all the members. No one person or
group of individuals should be over burdened.
History:
Founded in 1989, originally named
Lifespring Homeschoolers Association. A
non-profit organization designed to meet the needs of fourteen families whom at
the time attended Lifespring Church of God in Pineville. “During the last several years we have
created a policy board, designed positions to serve our members, drafted
bylaws, changed our name to The Crusaders, and increased our membership to over
50 families. One of the major changes
of our group, occurred in 1995 when we were included under the North Carolina
group called CHEA. This enabled our
group to be opened up to a broader selection of home education information and opportunities.
