Josh went into the Air Force National Guard in March of 2001. He went to San Antonio for his basic training. Then he went to Little Rock Arkansas for his flight training on the C-130 cargo plane as a Loadmaster. While he was there the terrorist crashed into the World Trade Center buildings & the war was on! He came home for a month & was then shipped out to Kuwait where his crew flew missions every other day into Pakistan & Afghanistan. He came back home in August 2002.

One funny thing happened while at the
homecoming. While in Kuwait Josh &
some of his buddies picked up a arm patch that had a picture of Kenny on the tv
show “Southpark”. The patch showed
Kenny saying “You BASTARDS sent me to Kuwait!”. Josh had forgot & left it on. His Chief said” You might wanna take that patch
off.” They both grinned & he took
it off. Someone else might not have
thought it was funny.
